About

Our Story

We met eight years ago over a badly made cup of tea in a university common room, and somehow never stopped talking. Since then we have shared four cities, one very opinionated cat, and a standing argument about the correct way to make kiribath.

We are getting married at home in Colombo, surrounded by the people who made us. We cannot wait to share the day with you.

Q & A

Think bright, festive, and tropical. Sarees, dresses, suits, or smart shirts all work — light fabrics are your friend in December. Please skip all-black and all-white, and bring your best wedding-day sparkle.

Both the ceremony and the reception are indoors and air-conditioned. No need to plan around the rain.

Warm and humid — around 30°C in the day and 25°C at night, with the occasional short downpour. Pack light clothes and a small umbrella.

Your invitation lists everyone we have saved a seat for. If it says “and guest”, please do bring them.

Yes, and please share them with us afterwards. We only ask that you stay seated during the poruwa itself so our photographer has a clear line of sight.

Absolutely. Let us know their ages in your RSVP and we will sort out seating and a simpler menu.
